USEFUL TIPS FOR

ELEMENTARY PHOTO DAY

• Build up your child’s excitement prior to picture day so that they are comfortable and looking forward to a great experience.
   

• Dress your child in a nice outfit, as although you may not be purchasing a portrait package on picture day, you may choose to do so on a later date. Your child will be included in their class photo and may be used in their school by a teacher, principal by the PTA and possibly in the school’s yearbook, so you always want your child to look their best.
   

• When choosing a background for your child’s portrait package, please take into account your child’s outfit (color and/or pattern), hair color, etc. so not to create a clash in colors.
   

• Refrain from any use of face and/or hair glitter as it will be reflective in the photographs.
   

• If you are unsure as to which background would be most flattering, please note that any of our gray shaded backgrounds will always work best with any outfit as it is a neutral color. A gray background will automatically be inserted if a background is not chosen by a parent.
   

• Any special requests such as hair style, headbands, hats, glasses or any pieces of clothing which are or are not to be worn for pictures, should be communicated by using our Picture Day Special Request form and submitted to our office no later than 48 hours prior to picture day. You may also send in a note from home or convey a request to his or her teacher prior to being photographed on picture day.
